This is my project for the second year at MJM Graphic Design school.
It's my universe, written, drawn and totally invented. My short film explores the beginning of the story of my main character, Jacques Hussein. He reveals to us where his desire for revenge and freedom was born. Through drama and an oppressive chase.

C'est mon univers, écrit, dessiné et totalement inventé. Mon court métrage explore le début de l'histoire de mon personnage principal, Jacques Hussein. Il nous révèle où est né son désir de vengeance et de liberté. À travers le drame et une poursuite oppressante.

The intention was to split the different characters into multiple planes and emphasize the Miler's oppression of the protagonist and his brother.
L'intention était de scinder les différents personnages sur plusieurs plans et insister sur l'oppression du Milers envers le protagoniste et son frère.
SCENARIO
Original story written like a novel because originally thought of as such. The selected passage was act 1 in its entirety in order to make the short film.
Scénario original écrit à la manière d'un roman car pensé comme tel à la base. Le passage retenu a été l'acte 1 en totalité afin de réaliser le court métrage.

Jacques Hussein, Alaric Orsini’s little brother at heart is the son of Theobald, a former knight who once served for the Cordis family as well as Anna, a woman working in the imperial fields. Being the son of a knight, he is very well behaved and respectful and already knows how to use a blade. He adores his brother Alaric and are very accomplices.
Jacques Hussein, le petit frère d'Alaric Orsini est le fils de Theobald, un ancien chevalier qui a autrefois servi pour la famille Cordis, ainsi que d'Anna, une femme travaillant dans les champs impériaux. Étant le fils d'un chevalier, il est très bien élevé et respectueux et sait déjà utiliser une lame. Il adore son frère Alaric et sont très complices.

The clothes were simulated on the Marvelous Designer software then retopo directly in this same software.
Les vêtements ont été simulés sur le logiciel Marvelous Designer puis retopo directement dans ce même logiciel.
Alaric ORSINI
Best friend and big brother of Jacques, the hero. The one who stays by his side and the shoulder in his hard life at Silverstone. He is affectionate, loving and very protective of those he loves. He does not hesitate to put himself in danger to save his loved ones. He is the only son of a miner working for the "mining company". Those responsible for extracting the ore necessary for the metallurgical factories of the empire.
Meilleur ami et grand frère de Jacques, le héros. Celui qui reste à ses côtés et l'épaule dans sa dure vie à Silverstone. Il est affectueux, aimant et très protecteur envers ceux qu'il aime. Il n'hésite pas à se mettre en danger pour sauver ses proches. Il est le fils unique d'un mineur travaillant pour la "compagnie minière". Ceux chargés d'extraire le minerai nécessaire aux usines métallurgiques de l'empire.
A fabric simulation was also done on Marvelous Designer for this character, however, due to lack of experience and being my first modeled character, the retopo was done manually (on Blender) making the character flat.
Une simulation de tissus a elle aussi été réalisée sur Marvelous Designer pour ce personnage, en revanche, par manque d'expérience et étant mon premier personnage modélisé, la retopo fut faite manuellement (sur Blender) rendant le personnage plat.
MILERS
The Milers, the formidable iron soldiers created by Emperor Idriss to carry out his orders and to "reign justice" in Silverstone and everywhere in his territory. They are empty shells, without soul. Moving by steam and metal to serve the emperor.
Les Milers, les redoutables soldats de fer créés par l'empereur Idriss pour exécuter ses ordres et "faire régner la justice" à Silverstone et partout sur son territoire. Ce sont des coquilles vides, sans âme. Se déplaçant via la vapeur et le métal pour servir l'empereur.

The mechanical soldier was modeled under Blender, UV made on this same software as well as textures under Substance Painter. The coloring takes up the codes of the graphic charter of the steampunk movement (in left).
Le soldat mécanique a été modélisé sous Blender, UV faites sur ce même logiciel ainsi que textures sous Substance Painter. La coloration reprend les codes de la charte graphique du mouvement steampunk (ci-contre).
